Stock Movement Predictor

Developed software to predict daily stock price movements using Python, integrating historical data from Yahoo Finance, technical indicators (e.g., RSI, MACD), and sentiment analysis with FinBERT.
Built and trained a Random Forest Classifier model and utilized web scraping tools (Requests, BeautifulSoup) to gather financial news. Outputs the stocks in order of probability of increase the next day.

Built software that attempts to create a portfolio that tracks the S&P 500 index when given a list of tickers.
Employed libraries such as Pandas for data manipulation, NumPy for numerical computations, and matplotlib for creating visualizations.
Implemented statistical analyses and vector calculations to inform strategic marketing decisions, and demonstrated an understanding of portfolio optimization. Used cvxpy’s Gurobi to solve the problem of minimizing tracking error.
