WeSpare - Digital Marketing
WeSpare is a fintech startup focused on modernizing the traditional ROSCA system to help underserved communities save and access interest-free funds. We are looking to collaborate with students to implement a digital marketing strategy that will promote WeSpare’s platform and grow our user base. Project Scope and Expectations: This project will provide students with hands-on experience in digital marketing, with a focus on content creation, social media management, and campaign execution. Students will be expected to: Familiarize themselves with WeSpare’s target market (immigrant communities, ethnocultural groups, and those interested in interest-free financial solutions). Review existing marketing materials (social media posts, email templates, brochures) and suggest improvements. Deploy content according to our social media calendar to increase website traffic and promote sign-ups. Manage and update WeSpare’s digital channels (including social media platforms and the website) to ensure consistent branding and messaging. Bonus Tasks: While SEO recommendations are not mandatory, students who are interested in going above and beyond may also provide suggestions for improving the discoverability of WeSpare’s content online.

WeSpare_Mobile App Development
WeSpare is a social fintech platform that helps individuals and communities achieve their financial goals but providing a system to access interest-free funds and an effective savings mechanism. Our MVP prototype is under development, and we are seeking collaboration with students to accelerate this process. The goal of this project is to refine and develop key features of our platform. Students will assist in the following areas: Familiarizing themselves with our mission, target users, and platform goals. Identifying and prioritizing essential features to include in our MVP. Assisting with front-end and/or back-end development tasks. Documenting their process and providing recommendations for future iterations.

WeSpare - Grant Writing
At WeSpare, our mission is to help underserved communities, including immigrants, by providing secure, interest-free financial solutions. However, we are currently facing challenges with securing sufficient funding to expand and fulfill our mission. We seek to collaborate with students through the Riipen program to assist us in finding and completing grant applications. This will involve several key tasks, including: Understanding WeSpare’s mission and the project we have defined to support community-driven financial growth. Developing a compelling needs statement that clearly outlines the financial challenges faced by underserved communities and justifies the need for WeSpare’s platform and funding. Identifying and researching potential sponsors and funding opportunities that align with WeSpare's goals. Enhancing the clarity and persuasiveness of WeSpare's grant proposals to increase the chances of success. Bonus Steps Identifying new opportunities for community-based projects that WeSpare can support with the resources and funding acquired.

Our company, WeSpare, is in the process of developing our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) prototype—a secure digital platform that provides access to interest-free funds and an effective savings mechanism immigrants and underserved communities. We are just beginning to reach out to potential users and community leaders, and we are seeking students who are passionate about supporting impactful fintech startups. This project will focus on creating a streamlined outreach process tailored to our unique audience. This will involve several steps for the students, including: Identifying target groups : Research immigrant associations, community groups, and potential partners aligned with our mission. Crafting our message : Build a messaging framework that resonates with our target audience, emphasizing our value proposition in an engaging and culturally relevant way. Developing outreach tools : Create a step-by-step guide for approaching prospects, including outreach templates. Analyzing data for market insights : Compile market data to refine our understanding of potential user pain points and preferences. Bonus steps in the process could include: Developing a customizable demo pitch for our MVP to showcase during outreach. Building a script for introductory calls or presentations to prospective users and partners.
