ReSight Inc., a leader in finance industry reporting, seeks to engage software engineering students in a project focused on building dynamic sample reports. The goal is to demonstrate ReSight’s capabilities in transforming data into professional-grade PDF reports using modern web technologies. Students will utilize their choice of frameworks, such as React or Svelte, to create reports that are rendered to PDF from a browser environment. ReSight will provide report designs, and students will generate their own data sets to test and validate the reports. This project offers an opportunity for students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, under the mentorship of ReSight’s CTO, Franco Ponticelli. The project aims to showcase the flexibility and technical prowess of ReSight’s report generation capabilities.

Students are expected to deliver fully functional reports based on ReSight’s designs, accurately rendered to PDF using their chosen web technology. They will also create custom data sets to test the versatility of the report designs. Additionally, students must provide clear documentation outlining their report structure, technologies used, and testing methods. Outstanding reports will be showcased on ReSight’s demo platform.
