Project Examples

Requirements

Working individually or in groups, students will work to create or revamp an employee handbook (with an emphasis on wages and compensation) for your organization, with your guidance and input.

Students will conduct a needs assessment and provide you with a concept employee compensation handbook proposal describing the handbook index and content they would like to create, and the reasons why.

Once your organization has approved their proposal, students will work to create all the needed elements of the employee handbook and design a handbook power point presentation. At the end of the projects students will present the power point presentation for the desired audience and evaluate the outcomes.

Possible content areas for these students to address include, but are not limited to:

  • Employment
  • Employment Classifications
  • Hours of Work
  • Flex Time and Telecommuting
  • Performance and Salary Review
