[Your organization] works with climate-related or environmental data but needs assistance inputting, cleaning, organizing and/or making data summaries for projects in areas like disaster preparedness, water resource planning, renewable energy deployment, and/or carbon management. Learners will organize and analyze key datasets to support policy and community decision-making.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
Week 1: Spreadsheet Organization and Maintenance
- Practice spreadsheet management using large datasets
- Evaluate the best methods for spreadsheet maintenance and organization.
Week 2: Data Collection & Preparation
- Clean and organize data for analysis.
Week 3: Data Analysis
- Identify trends, anomalies, and correlations.
- Perform statistical analyses on the data
Week 4: Reporting & Recommendations
- Present a final report summarizing insights and how they can inform local resilience strategies for supervisor
- Recommend ways your organization can share findings with stakeholders.
Each learner contributes 46 hours over 4 weeks, either individually or as a team.
